Contents Plot Season 1In the year 2307 AD, fossil fuels have all but vanished and the distribution of energy is unbalanced. Humanity now relies on three large-scale solar power systems controlled by three multinational power blocs: the (Union), the (HRL), and the (AEU). With this nearly inexhaustible source of energy benefiting only these three powers and their allies, constant warfare erupted around the globe among minor countries for precious fuels and energy. Countries whose economy relied solely on the sale of fossil fuels were plunged into poverty and some even believed that the solar power system threatened the 'promised land of God', resulting in the twenty-year-long Solar Wars.

I was just wondering if I had what it takes to be an otaku. Name: My online alias is Bon. I rather not tell my real name, in case one of my stalkers find this. (No joke either)2. How long have you been an anime fan?Since 1999/2000, when Dragonball Z (and Pokemon) first started airing on Cartoon Network. After the first few episodes I started searching the Internet for more DBZ related goodies at the urging of my Aunt.
Aah, good times down Memory Lane.4. What is your favorite anime? It's hard to choose, especially considering the stream of new anime one has to keep up with or be swallowed alive and drown. But if I had to choose, it would have to be Ai no Kusabi. It leaves you bitter and sad in the end, but it's all worth it, because Riki and Iason's love for each other is pure and worth dying for.
Plus, the artwork and overall quality of the movie is just beautiful. The waya character in AnK moves doesn't bother me at all, as opposed to characters in most movies and OAVs. Not as dramatic and exaggerated. Ick, it's hard to explain. Who is your favorite anime character?Anyone Koyasu Takehito voice-acts, of course! Hehe, okay honestly, I can't say.
And this time I mean it. It's impossible to name just one character out of the thousands upon thousands out there. Some current favorites I can give you, though: Naitou Arou from Life of the Blindfolded and Watashimori (Koyasu-sama!) from Zombie Loan.
My first favorite ever was Son Goku from Dragonball Z.6. How large is your anime collection? (post pictures if possible)What I own, not just what I've seen, right? (Do fansubs count?) Right, let's see.I've got one outdated from a year back.

And what's the point of owning something you don't like?7. Where do you get most of your anime? From all kinds of places. I'm not biased toward one shop or online store, because what would be the use?
I live in the Netherlands, so any shop no matter the reputation or lack thereof is a Godsend. As long as I can get the stuff I want I can die a virgin. Here's a list of the 'stores' I frequent for anyone interested:. Animesuki. Amazon.com.
Bol.com. Dimension Plus. Donner. Ebay. Futurezone. Myself.
Local Video StoreAnimesuki might be a familiar site to most of you. I hope it's okay I put it in the list?8. Subs or dubs? Both, although I sometimes prefer one over the other as is the case with Licensed by Royal. The British voice actors have done such an amazing job that it's usually the English version I'll watch instead of the Japanese one. It's nice and interesting to (be able to) switch around and hear the differences between both versions.
And American outtakes are hilarious, it's a shame the Japanese don't have those! Oh, sorry, that's DVD-material.9. How large is your manga collection? (post pictures if possible).if only my stupid scanner was still alive. Most of the titles I've listed haven't been actually bought yet. I download scanlations of manga I really like and once they've been licensed and I have enough money to spend I'll buy them. Unless I haven't found a store willing to ship internationally.
Ayatsuri Sakon: scanlated. Basara: not licensed Japanese. Bleach: scanlated & licensed. Cafe Kichijoji (de): scanlated. D.
